Business Conference Services

Are these "business conferences" all big scams?

My itinerant brother is so enthusiastic about these "business conferences", which are really seminars you pay to attend and have someone talk at you, trying to boost your ego, and telling you that your inflated ego will improve your languishing business. How do you convince such a person that this "motivational speaker" is just taking his money and telling him all the nice things he likes to hear, encouraging him to recruit more suckers, etc. will not improve his life at all, unless he plans to be a "motivational scamster" himself? Or do I just wait for the crash? Yes, he's already been to at least one, and plans to drag all his friends to the next.

  1. Has he been to one yet? Try letting him attend one; my aunt went to one that would help you find "free money" or grants if you paid $1000 at the con. She paid it and until this day, "Where's my free money??" People can learn from their mistakes- just make sure you don't lose a lot like my aunt. Or ask him, do you know anyone in person who has gotten success with it?
