Can someone recommend a good merchant services company for a small business?

We are a small business merchant currently using Usight for processing credit card orders that come into our website. We have been quite satisfied with their services until the last few months, when it has become increasingly difficult to process orders or credits on evenings and weekends - and there is no customer service available at those times. When I call during the week, I'm told this is a "known issue" but it has just continued. We're frustrated enough by this to consider switching companies. Can someone recommend a better one?

  3. Take a look at pay pal and alertpay and see if either of them suits your online processing needs. Personally I've had no problem with either of them over the years. Hope this helps in some way.
  4. You will find that with whatever company you lodge this business they will grow to the point of having the same problem, and then try to correct it. You need to ask your service providers what they are planning to do, and when. They may not have staff available to get this done in a reasonable time, and so you may be waiting an unacceptable time to get there. Know what is preventing early resolution and you may know whether it is worth hanging in with them, because switching can still leave you in the same problem soon.
  5. You can check with your bank, they will offer credit card services. But we recently changed our services through a group offered by Sam's Club. The gave us a better rate than Suntrust where be have our company banking. Go on line see what they offer. Just be sure it is a legit service. We go one offer for some company out of Florida we could not verify was a real company. Be careful with your search. Good Luck
